Authentic Leadership This course enables attendees to develop themselves as leaders of organizations and challenges them to establish influence within a company or business unit. Leadership development concepts used in the course will be immediately applicable for students and useful for the rest of their lives. Sessions are based on Authentic Leadership by Bill George of Harvard Business School and Strategies for Taking Charge by Warren Bennis, Founding Chairman of the Leadership Institute at the University of Southern California.

Leading Professional Service Firms There are three educational objectives for this course. The first is to develop a basic understanding of what makes service organizations unique and profitable. The second is to discuss the issues of management that are critical to success within a service firm - management of clients, self, and others. The final objective is to deliver insights into multi-site issues that arise during the growth stage of the business life cycle. Sessions are based on Managing the Professional Services Firm by David H Maister, one of the leading Management consultants in America.

Leading Teams This course is centered around three key aspects of quality team leadership. The first is an understanding of issues that can hinder team success and, on the flip side, what qualities of an environment promote effectiveness. We will take a look at what it takes to build a team and, finally, determine how to use your talents to be an integral part of the team environment. Sessions are based on Creating Teams with an Edge, one of the prominent books to come out of the Harvard Business Essentials group.

Power & Influence Power and Influence deals with different leadership models and self-assessment tools to help you understand organizational dynamics and how they relate to your own style of influence. This course helps attendees observe the use of power in different contexts. We will also study power as it relates to ethics. We will use another text from the Harvard Business Essentials group - Power, Influence, and Persuasion: Sell Your Ideas and Make Things Happen - and the Keirsey Temperament Sorter (KTS-II) throughout the course.

World Class Management This is a fast-paced course designed to teach you the four key tasks that the world’s greatest managers have mastered. The best managers have honed their skills and they use these tasks to get uncommon results. Sessions are centered around First, Break All the Rules, a management classic based on more than 20 years of research from the Gallup Organization. We also learn from Ken Blanchard's simple and effective advice in The One Minute Manager.
